Acorn Theatre Project

The Acorn Theatre Project is the youth and children’s theatre organization of the Community Arts Connection. There are many opportunities in this community for children to participate in instructional theatre programs, but most provide the basics with only brief exposure to the concepts of the theatre. Our program is being designed as an on-going program that will offer training for children and youth to learn, grow, and mature in their creative experiences. Just as with an acorn, when planted, nurtured and cared for, it grows into a great oak tree. We want to offer our children and youth the same opportunity by working with them to develop good character traits, develop good habits, and learn to exercise both physically and creatively. The Community Arts Connection operates with a specific set of values, and the Acorn Theatre Project operates with a similar set of values to guide the development of the programs offered for the children and youth of our community. These values create a perfect acronym for our organization.

We are very excited about the new curriculum we are developing! We will have classes for three age groups to help achieve the maximum growth for each level.

6 - 8 years, 8 - 11 years, and 11 - 14 years
